CloakAI Umbra
v3
Phone screen: follow the live transcript and every answer on your phone, with nothing on your computer if you choose. Plus answer history, custom shortcuts and steadier transcription.
New
- Phone screen (monthly plan). When you start an interview, choose where it shows: on your screen, on your phone, or both. Scan the QR code and your phone follows the live transcript and every answer, with buttons to answer, pause and take a screenshot. Choose phone only and nothing appears on your computer at all.
- Answer history in the overlay. Earlier answers from the interview stay above the current one. Scroll back with Alt+↑ and Alt+↓.
- History page. Look back at past questions and answers by day, search them, export them as Markdown, or remove them. Turn it on in Preferences.
- Custom shortcuts. Change any shortcut in Preferences. CloakAI warns you about risky combinations.
- Math and code in answers. Formulas render properly, code is highlighted, and every code block has a copy button.
- Release notes. See what changed when you update, and any time at cloakai.me/changelog.
Improved
- Recording starts with the interview. No separate Alt+R step.
- Transcription keeps going through long silences. It pauses after five quiet minutes and picks up by itself when the interviewer speaks again. If the connection drops, it reconnects quietly instead of showing an error.
- More accurate transcription with a newer speech model.
- Text size now changes the interview overlay only, in clear steps with a live preview.
- The overlay stays out of your way. Showing or clicking it no longer takes focus from the page you are working in, and it remembers where you put it.
- Screen-capture protection is always on. There is no longer a visible mode to forget to switch off.
- Sharper screenshots, captured at your display's full resolution.
- The résumé in Preferences is now used for any role that does not have its own.
Fixed
- Each new interview starts empty instead of briefly showing the last one.
- The overlay no longer opens wider than it should.
- Pressing the screenshot shortcut twice no longer charges twice.
- Your chosen screen is remembered after you unplug and replug a monitor.
- Links in answers open in your browser, never inside the app.
